ABOUT

My name is Jonathan Camp and I am a Minneapolis based Sound Editor and Sound Recordist. I have been recording, editing, and mixing sound over fifteen years.

My expertise lies in two fields of audio production. The first being in audio post production for visual media. More specifically sound effects editing, dialogue editing, sound design, foley, and audio mixing. My second area of expertise is in audio recording, a discipline that has garnered me three Emmy Awards for my field audio work with PBS. These days I find myself mainly recording audio on video sets and for live podcasts. A bit of a far cry from my early background in multitrack music recording. Basically, I can capture, edit, and mix just about anything that comes out of your speakers or headphones.

My favorite aspect of the work that I do is the people. I love meeting new people that share my vision and love for great art and media. Collaborating and drawing inspiration from others is one of the greatest joys of my profession.

On a personal side, I enjoy playing music, listening to podcasts, playing with my cats, watching movies, traveling, trying out new restaurants, and spending time with the people I love.

I am a Pro Tools Certified Operator and I hold an Associate of Applied Sciences Degree in Audio Production and Engineering from The Institute of Production and Recording in Minneapolis, Minnesota.
